UPDATE: One dead following crash on Walker Rd

Windsor Police need the public's help piecing together what caused a fatal crash on Walker Rd. at Grand Marais Rd. E Tuesday night.

Police officers responded to the intersection around 8 p.m. after two vehicles, a car and an SUV collided.

The driver of one vehicle was unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and soon passed away.

The driver and a passenger in the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours while the Forensic Identification Unit and Accident Reconstruction Unit investigated.

It reopened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, but the collision is still under investigation, and Windsor Police ask anyone who witnessed it give them a call at 519-255-6700 ext. 4000, or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477. Tips can also be submitted online at www.catchcrooks.com.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
