Just a reminder, going 50 km/h over the speed limit is stunt driving

The Ontario Provincial Police has taken two drivers off the road after two incidents on Wednesday.

The OPP were conducting speed enforcement on County Road 42 near County Road 27 when officers spotted a vehicle going 50 kilometres per hour over the speed limit. The limit there is 80 km/h.

A 36-year-old driver is now charged with stunt driving.

Then, 90 minutes later, officers clocked another vehicle going 50 km/h over the speed limit on Highway 3. It was also weaving in and out of traffic.

In that vehicle, a 17-year-old G2 driver.

Both drivers have had their licenses seized, vehicles impounded and will have to appear in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
