December home sales are down in Windsor area while inventory is up

December home sales in the Windsor area were slower than usual last month.

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors (WECAR) is reporting 287 houses were sold in December, which is down eight per cent compared to December of 2017. However, 305 homes went up for sale last month, which is up 9.3 per cent compared to December of 2017.

WECAR said the average sales price of a house is now $297,915. That's down from $302,726 in December of 2017.

The most popular style of home sold last month is two storey, followed by bungalow, ranch, one-and-a-half storey, and raised ranch.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
