Suspected meth seized after arrest in downtown Windsor

Windsor police have charged a man with possession of suspected methamphetamine following a drug trafficking investigation.

On Monday afternoon, police and the drug enforcement unit searched the downtown area for a man wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.

The man was located in the area of Goyeau Street and University Avenue and arrested without incident.

While searching the suspect, officers located and seized almost 6 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, along with a quantity of cash.

As a result, Stanley Idzior, a 54-year-old man from Windsor, is charged with one count of possession of suspected methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
