Two drivers charged with racing and stunt driving at twice the speed limit

Two drivers have been caught in Windsor and Lakeshore allegedly going twice the speed limit.

Provincial police said officers stopped a fast moving vehicle on Essex County Road 22 in Lakeshore on Sunday at around 2 a.m. allegedly doing more than 70 kilometres per hour over the speed limit.

Tristan Mailloux, 19, of Tecumseh was arrested and is now charged with racing. His is vehicle has also been impounded and his driver's licence suspended for seven days.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

Then on Monday, Windsor police charged another 19-year-old man with stunt driving after he was allegedly clocked travelling at 102 km/h, which is double the speed limit in the 50 km/h zone. He also had his licence suspended and car impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
