Riptide washed away by Express 102-86

The Windsor Express topped the Saint John Riptide 102-86 at the WFCU Centre on Friday.

The Riptide took a four-point lead by the end of the first quarter, but Windsor was able to cut their lead to 43-41 as the game entered halftime.

The Express fought back in the third to pass Saint John and held a 70-57 lead at the end of the third, and Saint John wasn't able to catch up Windsor's lead in the final frame with the Express ending the game with a six-point advantage.

Horace Wormely and DeAndre Thomas led Windsor with 18 points each, while Juan Pattillo put up 17 points and had seven rebounds. Tyrrel Tate and Ryan Anderson both added 12 points as well

The Express are at home again on Saturday to take on the London Lightning at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
