Police in Windsor busy handling drunk driving calls

Three people are charged with drunk driving after all being arrested in Windsor within a three hour period.

Windsor police said they charged a man allegedly passed-out in the driver's seat of a running vehicle at McHugh Street and Clover Avenue on Friday just before 11 p.m. Investigators added that he refused to provide a breath sample.

Then a woman was busted for drunk driving at the Ambassador Bridge after Canadian border officers called police around midnight.

A man also has been charged with drunk driving after he crashed into a boulevard median near Jefferson Boulevard and Tecumseh Road around 2 a.m. Officers said they followed a vehicle driving erratically prior to the arrest.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
