Theft alert from Lasalle police

Lasalle police have a warning about thieves.

They're asking the public to beware of thieves in a black pickup truck trying to sell stolen wire.

Thieves recently took four reels of 12-2 gauge yellow wire 300 M, seven reels of 14-2 gauge white wire 150 M, one reel of 8-3 gauge white wire 150 M, and six reels of green ground wire 300 M from an unknown site.

Call LaSalle police at 519-969-5210, or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 if you know who the suspects are, or if you have any information that can help the case.

Police in Lasalle also arrested a man trying to steal meat at a local grocery store.

Police said the suspect was also wanted for stealing a vehicle last month.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
