Victims identified in Colchester Harbour incident

The Ontario Provincial Police have identified two Windsor residents who died after a car was pulled from Lake Erie off the shore of Colchester Harbour earlier this week.

Bing Chen, 56, and 33-year-old Yan Li were inside a car that drove off the boat ramp and into the lake Tuesday morning.

Firefighters from Essex and Kingsville, a Canadian Coast Guard helicopter, police, a tow truck company and paramedics worked at the scene to locate the car, rescue the occupants and rush them to the hospital.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information about what lead up to the event is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can be left online at www.catchcrooks.com.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
