Garage fire in south Windsor causes $25K in damage

A fire that broke out in an attached garage has caused an estimated $25,000 in damage.

The blaze broke out around 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning at a house on Church Street near Liberty Street in south Windsor.

Windsor Fire and Rescue had the flames under control and contained to the garage within half an hour.

No injuries were reported and fire officials say the cause was accidental.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
