Another fire on Menard Street

One person has been taken to the hospital after a house fire in east Windsor.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services said a resident was suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out on Menard Street near Martinique Avenue around 12 p.m. on Monday.

There's no damage estimate yet. The cause and origin are under investigation.

This is the second house fire on Menard Street in less than a week. Early Friday morning, a townhouse went up in flames near Riverdale Avenue causing $75,000 in damage. An electrical fault caused Friday's blaze. Nobody was hurt in that fire.
