OPP search for driver, charge another in Lakeshore

The Ontario Provincial Police is looking for the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash Sunday night on County Road 22 in Lakeshore.

Around 5 p.m., officers were called out to help two drivers who had been involved in a minor accident on County Road 22 near Puce Road.

While speaking with one of the drivers, the other drove off.

The officer immediately pursued the vehicle and with the help of other OPP officers managed to pull it over.

That is when the police realized the driver appeared to be impaired.

The OPP has now charged a 55-year-old Lakeshore man with a list of impaired driving-related offences.

Police are also looking for the first driver. When the officer left in a hurry, he did not yet get his information.

The driver is asked to call the Lakeshore OPP detachment at 519-728-1810.
