Police take menu of opioids off downtown streets

Police seized methamphetamine, oxycodone, buprenorphine, morphine, and methylphenidate in a recent drug bust in downtown Windsor.

Members of the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit have been focusing on the illicit drug trade downtown, and on Friday arrested a 36-year-old Windsor woman.

Officers found the suspect in the area of Pine Street and Pelissier last Friday.

She tried to run away but was quickly apprehended and arrested.

A search turned up the laundry list of opioids.

Sara Bianchi faces eight counts of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of breach of recognizance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
