Big Kudos for a small Kingsville Hotel

The TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Awards has named The Grove Hotel in Kingsville one of Canada's best small hotels.

The boutique hotel placed 20th in the top 25.

The top three small hotels in Canada were all in British Columbia.  In first place, was The Francis Boutique Inn in Ucluelet, Elizabeth Lake Lodge in Cranbrook placed second, and rounding out the top three was Brookside Inn in Abbotsford.

The Travellers' Choice Awards receives millions of reviews from TripAdvisor travellers around the world, and this year recognized 7,812 properties in 94 countries.

"We were trying to find a little staycation getaway for the weekend when a friend recommended this breathtakingly beautiful boutique hotel," read one review online. "I was a bit skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We stayed in the Bye Bye Birdie room, and we LOVED it!”

Another review read, "My husband and I had a night stay in the brew suite. The atmosphere was great. Very cozy. Felt like we were at home."

Hotels were recognized in nine categories including small, luxury, bargain, romance, B&Bs and Inns, family, and all-inclusive.

"The historic building at 12 Main Street East was renovated in 2016 to give it a unique and hip vibe," said General Manager of the Grove Hotel and Brew House, Jennifer Flynn. "We are excited to be able to attract visitors to our property and our community."

The top three small hotels worldwide are Kokkini Porta Rosa in Rhodes Town, Greece, The Diplomat Boutique Hotel in Merida, Mexico, and in first place, Anastasis Apartments in Imerovigli, Greece.
