The notice went out at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Schools across the region are still open.
There is a freezing rain warning in effect, and Environment Canada expects freezing rain to persist until the noon hour.
Windsor police also advise people to stay off the roads if possible.

Gates for the three-day fair will open at the Wyoming Fair Grounds on Main Street on Friday, September 18, at 5 p.m., with opening ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m.
