Windsor man charged with break-ins

A Windsor man is facing charges after break-ins at a mosque and produce store.

Officers arrested the suspect on Thursday during a traffic stop at Erie Street and Victoria Avenue after they recognized him from a surveillance photograph. They said they found property recently reported stolen from the Windsor Mosque on Monday.

Investigators added that a wallet with a bank card was stolen January 30 during a break and enter at a produce store on E.C. Row Avenue near Devon Drive. Police said the stolen bank card was used later that day at a local jewellery store.

Henry Lewenza, 41, is charged with break and enter, fraud, possession of stolen property, using a stolen credit card, and fraudulent use of a credit card.
