Kingsville stabbing leads to charges against woman

A Kingsville woman has been charged with assault and drug possession after a man was stabbed this week.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kingsville said the victim received a laceration to his hand on Beech Street on Friday at approximately 4 a.m. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Nicole Arner, 32, of Kingsville, was arrested at the scene.

Officers also allege they found over 30 grams of methamphetamine on the accused.

Arner is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. None of the allegations has been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
