On Friday at around 1:50 am, a black Cadillac travelling northbound on Essex County Road 33 veered into the direction of a police officer travelling southbound. The officer was forced to swerve onto the shoulder of the road to avoid crashing with the Cadillac.
The driver showed signs of intoxication and failed a roadside test.
The 21-year old driver will appear in court on March 21.
