Essex house fire ruled accidental

Essex Fire and Rescue tackled a house fire in McGregor Monday morning.

Crews were called around 6:30 a.m. to an address on Cedar Crescent after a structure fire was reported.

Two fire companies assisted with the blaze.

The fire was put out quickly, and there were no reports of injuries. It was not immediately clear how many people were home at the time.

The cause was undetermined and accidental, with a damage estimate of $60,000.
