Windsor home once again target of gunfire

Windsor police say a home that was shot at last week was hit again within 48 hours.

Officers from the WPS patrol unit and the Emergency Services Unit were called around 10:15 p.m. Saturday to a home on Tourangeau Road near Milloy Street for a report of gunshots being heard. It was confirmed upon police arrival that the home was the same residence hit by gunfire early Friday morning.

New damage was found at the house and a bullet was actually found inside. A second bullet was found in a window frame. However, there were no injuries and the occupants were not home at the time of the incident.

Constable Talya Natyshak said like the first incident, neighbours reported hearing gunshots in the area.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information concerning either incident, who has not already spoken with police, is urged to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700 ext. 4830. Anonymous tips can be phoned in to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477) or submitted online.
