Dinosaurs invade Devonshire Mall

Devonshire Mall will become Windsor's own Jurassic Park this weekend with a new educational dinosaur exhibit.

The exhibit is from Indian River Reptile Zoo, a not-for-profit sanctuary for rescued reptiles across Canada.

The exhibit started Thursday and continues to March 25.

It features animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex that moves and roars. Visitors will also see a Stegosaurus, a Dimetrodon with a large black fin, a Raptor with fur, an Oviraptor with babies, and a Triceratops.

The reptile zoo is near Peterborough and received accreditation from the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums in 2000. Since opening in 1998, it has become a training facility for Canadian Federal Wildlife Officers. It is home to over 200 species of reptiles.
