Expansion means Aphria is hiring

Now that Health Canada has approved a major expansion at Aphria in Leamington, the company is going to have to hire some more workers.

The pot producer in Leamington is holding a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Portuguese Club.

With the recent licensing of its Part IV and V expansion, the company said it would add 130 new positions including greenhouse associates, sanitation associates, night facility operator, manufacturing, inventory control associates, and quality assurance associates.

Candidates are asked to bring their resumes with them and to be prepared for interviews given onsite.

The expansion will add another 800,000 square feet of space to the facility. That is expected to increase annual production to 110,000 kilograms.
