A $10 ticket brings Windsor woman a $250K prize

A $10 crossword game became a $250,000 prize for a Windsor woman.

Christine Dowhaniuk walked away beaming this week from the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, where she collected the top prize for playing the Instant Crossword Deluxe game.

Dowhaniuk picked up her winning ticket at the Riverside Variety Store on Wyandotte Street East.

Instant Crossword Deluxe is a $10-per-play version of the $3 Instant Crossword scratch-off game. Odds of winning a prize in the Deluxe version are one in 3.45.
