Two charged in Leamington meth bust

Two men have been charged after a drug bust in Leamington.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said officers approached a vehicle in the parking lot of a store on Erie Street South near Melrose Avenue on Saturday and arrested a passenger for having court-imposed conditions not to attend this location. Officers found more than $2,000 of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle and another man was arrested after a prohibited weapon was found.

Nicholas Beleutz, 37 of Leamington, is charged with possession of drugs, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of probation. Beleutz was also charged with possession of drugs and breach of probation last month along with break and enter and breach of probation in 2014.

Simon Luangkhoth, 39 of Leamington, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

A third person in the vehicle was released without charges.
