UPDATE: Banwell Road tracks re-open after freight train fire

The CP rail tracks on Banwell Road north of Intersection Road are now open to traffic.

A CP rail diesel train in Tecumseh caught on fire at around 7:30 p.m. at Banwell Road between Intersection Road and County Road 42 on Sunday, halting traffic.

Tecumseh firefighters were on scene battling the blaze.

No injuries have been reported. Banwell Road was reopened shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday.
