UPDATE: Two people fired upon in Windsor

Two people were not hurt after shots were fired at their vehicle Tuesday night.

It happened around 10:15 p.m. in the area of Dufferin Place and Ellis Street East. Constable Talya Natyshak said Wednesday afternoon that the pair were sitting in a parked vehicle when someone fired multiple gunshots at it. The suspect then fled in another vehicle.

The WPS Forensic Identification Unit was brought in to process the scene. Initial reports stated that an arrest was made in the incident, but Natyshak said the person was released with no charges filed.

The investigation remains in its initial stages, and officers are looking at surveillance camera footage to see if the suspect can be identified.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
