It happened just after 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Three lanes of northbound traffic on Central Avenue were blocked.
So far, there has been no word of any injuries, but emergency officials have managed to get the bus out of the ditch.
Four Sarnia streets made the CAA's regional Worst Roads list this year. The only road outside of Sarnia to make the top five was Windsor's Riverside Drive East.
The city said road, water and sewer work is starting to get underway, marking another year of aggressive investment into infrastructure renewal.
The all ages event, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Sarnia-Lambton, will go rain or shine.
Minor traffic delays in the area are to be expected while the run takes place.
