Driver hospitalized in Windsor car vs home incident

A driver has been hospitalized after a vehicle collided with a house in Windsor early Tuesday morning.

Windsor police said it happened shortly after 4 a.m.  Officers were called to a home on Elliott Street East and Marentette Avenue.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle was driven down Marentette, failed to stop, and jumped the curb, causing serious damage to the front lawn of the home and visible damage to the porch.

The vehicle's driver is in the hospital with what Windsor police Constable Talya Natyshak called non-life threatening injuries.

No one was physically hurt inside the home.

The investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
