Windsor rollover sends two to hospital

A 35-year-old man from Windsor has been charged after a rollover involving a stolen vehicle.

Windsor police said a silver Toyota flipped over on Riberdy Road near Ledyard Avenue on Sunday afternoon.

The vehicle was stolen from a garage on Rankin Avenue near Totten Street between June 6 and June 7.

"Officers arrived and observed a silver Toyota with extensive damage," said police.

The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and a passenger is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Mark Banton, 35, of Windsor, is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, driving while prohibited, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, and failing to follow court orders.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
