UPDATE: Four-plex fire considered suspicious

An official with Windsor Fire and Rescue Services tells BlackburnNews.com a four-plex fire overnight is suspicious.

Fire Prevention Officer John Lee said fire investigators are now working with the Windsor Police Service.

The fire on Pelissier Street near Erie Street West started around midnight Wednesday and was out within an hour.

One person was treated in the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Lee said the fire is still under investigation, and so far, a damage estimate has not been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
