Windsor police nab downtown break and enter suspects

Two men from Windsor have been charged after an attempted break and enter in downtown Windsor.

Police said they were trying to break into a house on Pelissier Street near Park Street just after midnight on Wednesday but were quickly arrested.

Officers noticed two suspects attempting to pry open a garage door using tools when they arrived. Both men attempted to get away on bicycles. Officers found illegal drugs and tools on the suspects.

Kenneth Jones, 29, of Windsor, is charged with attempting a break and enter, possession of break and enter tools, possession of suspected fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, and not obeying court orders.

Justin Kaczmarski, 35, of Windsor, is charged with attempting a break and enter, possession of break and enter tools, possession of suspected methamphetamine, possession of suspected hydromorphone, possession of suspected fentanyl, breach of probation, and not following court conditions.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
