Angry Windsor man charged after being booted from storage unit

A Windsor man is facing several weapon and drug charges after he lost his temper and allegedly threatened someone at a storage unit.

Police said the customer became agitated after being evicted from his rented storage unit on the east side of the city Wednesday afternoon.

The person who called police reported that the suspect allegedly threatened to strike the complainant with an item he was loading into a truck.

Officers said a search of the truck uncovered a bicycle that was reported stolen in 2017, a prohibited stun gun, and some drugs, including what's believed to be methamphetamine, fentanyl, and several illegal pills.

Kevin Jovetic, 46, of Windsor, is charged with uttering a threat, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon, several drug-related offences, including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and breaching court orders not to own any firearms.
