OPP seek driver who struck cyclist in Lakeshore

The Ontario Provincial Police would like to speak with the driver of a vehicle that struck a cyclist in Lakeshore Wednesday night.

A young cyclist was struck by a blue car at the intersection of Old Tecumseh Road and Cleophas Drive around 5:40 p.m.

The driver did stop to check on the cyclist but left without leaving his name and contact information.

The cyclist, who suffered minor injuries, described the driver as a black man in his 30s or 40s.

Police have questions about the collision and hope to find the driver or anyone else with information about it.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
