Windsor man charged in murder conspiracy

A 39-year-old man is accused of trying to hire someone to commit murder.

Windsor police said they became aware late Wednesday night that a man was making efforts to recruit someone to commit murder, according to public information officer Sergeant Steve Betteridge. The WPS Major Crimes Unit took the lead in the investigation.

Shortly before midnight Wednesday, officers went to a home on Glengarry Avenue and University Avenue East and arrested a man without incident.

Hassan Al Hariri of Windsor has been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder. This charge has not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
