Section of Pillette shut down for nearly three months

There is a major road project in Windsor you should know about.

Pillette Road will be closed between Seminole Street and South National Street for approximately 2.5 months to replace sewers, water mains, streetlights and resurface the road.

City Engineer Mark Winterton said only local traffic will get through starting on Tuesday until mid-October, weather permitting.

He said the $2 million work was on the road projects schedule and is much needed.

Detours are posted.

Winterton added the work won't disrupt business in the area because there is access to the plaza at Pillette and Seminole.
