LaSalle's Turkey Creek Bridge closes this weekend

The Town of LaSalle is closing Front Road over the Turkey Creek Bridge this weekend as work continues to rehabilitate the structure.

A release from the town said it would close at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, July 29 to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

There will be a detour.

On Monday morning, the bridge will reopen one lane each way.

The closure will also affect the bus route. LaSalle Traffic 25 will follow the regular route until it gets on Reaume Road. Instead of turning right onto Matchette Road, it will continue straight on Reaume Road and turn left on Front Road.

The bus stops on Matchette Road between Reaume Road and Morton Drive, Morton Drive, and Front Road between Morton and Reaume will be closed.

This is the second weekend closure since the project began in May.

Work on Turkey Creek Bridge will last until the end of October.
