Man charged in fatal Kingsville motorcycle crash

A 38-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash last month.

Ontario Provincial Police announced Thursday that  Nicolaas Wall of St. Catharines has been charged with one count of careless driving causing death in relation to the June 7 collision in Kingsville. Wall was allegedly driving the commercial vehicle involved in the incident.

The OPP said 50-year-old Tyler Knight, of Kingsville, was travelling westbound on Highway 3 near County Road 29 on his motorcycle when he was struck by the truck. The following day, the OPP announced Knight had passed away.

Wall will have a chance to respond to the charges when he appears in a Windsor courtroom on August 26.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
