Attempted murder charge laid in Monday stabbing

A 35-year-old man is now charged with attempted murder after another man was stabbed in Windsor.

Christopher Larkin is also charged with administering bear spray with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm, entering a dwelling with intent to commit an offence, and breaching probation.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Police responded to a call on Josephine Avenue near University Avenue West just before 8 a.m. on Monday after a man suffered life-threatening stab wounds.

Investigators allege the suspect deployed the bear spray during the incident, impacting a second person at the scene as well.

Just half an hour after the stabbing, officers arrested a suspect in the Woodlawn Avenue and Malcolm Avenue area in south Windsor.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
