Five injured in serious Kingsville crash

Five people were hurt, one seriously, in a collision in Kingsville.

Ontario Provincial Police said it happened at around 1 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Graham Side Road and County Road 6 East. Police say an SUV carrying four people collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup, the vehicle's sole occupant, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The four people in the SUV were treated for minor injuries.

The OPP's Technical Collision Investigation team was on scene gathering evidence well into Thursday evening. The intersection was closed for about eight hours.

The Kingsville Fire Department and Essex-Windsor EMS also assisted with the incident.

There is no immediate word on any charges and the investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
