Police DIGS Unit seizes cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl powder

A 32-year-old man from LaSalle faces drug trafficking charges after police searched three locations and a vehicle.

The Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit identified a suspect during an active investigation into drug trafficking the city and arrested the suspect on Tuesday.

Just before the arrest, police said the suspect discarded a backpack. Once it was found, and officers found some cell phones, a digital scale, what looked like cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and powdered fentanyl inside.

After gaining a search warrant, the search of three different locations and a vehicle associated with the suspect turned up ammunition and a bulletproof vest.

Scott Maclellan faces five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, and breach of probation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
