Residents escape house fire in East Windsor

Crews quickly put out a residential fire on the 2400 block of Arthur Sunday evening.

According to tweets from Windsor Fire, crews were met by heavy smoke on arrival and all of the residents were able to escape from the flames.

Windsor Fire crews were on the scene around 5:51 p.m. and the fire was put out by 6:11 p.m.

Details on how the fire started or any damages have not yet been released.

No injuries have been reported.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
