Windsor Fire and Rescue Services said the house fire on Arthur Road near Ypres Street Sunday evening started in a first-floor bedroom and caused and estimated $100,000 in damage.
Fire officials have listed the cause as undetermined and not suspicious.
There were no injuries reported. Four people safely escaped the flames and heavy smoke.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
