Suspect arrested during break and enter

A man is facing charges after allegedly getting busted during a break and enter in Windsor.

According to police, it happened around noon on Tuesday at a residence in the area of Hanna Street East and Goyeau Street. Officers were called to the scene and located a broken window at the house when they arrived.

Police contained the residence and made contact with the suspect, who was allegedly still inside. He was arrested without incident and was allegedly found in possession of tools and several items believed to have been stolen.

As a result, David Calhoun, a 52-year-old man from Windsor, is charged with break and enter, possession of break and enter instruments, three counts of possession of stolen property and two counts of possessing identity documents of another person.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
