Hundreds of oxycodone pills seized by Windsor police

The Windsor Police Service has taken more than 600 illicit oxycodone pills off the streets.

The Drugs and Guns Unit is continuing to investigate drug trafficking in the city's core, and on Friday arrested a suspect on Glengarry Avenue between University Avenue East and Chatham Street East.

Shortly after they took the suspect into custody, police obtained a search warrant for a home in the same area.

That is where they found hundreds of oxycodone pills.

Michael Vachon, 42, now faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He also faces two counts of breach of recognizance.

Police encourage anyone with information about drug trafficking to call them at 519-255-6700 ext. 4361, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or leave a tip online at www.catchcrooks.com.
