Police dismantle illegal cannabis dispensary on Drouillard Road

Two people are facing charges after an illicit cannabis dispensary was shut down on Thursday.

According to the OPP, they worked with Windsor police to execute a Cannabis Act search warrant on the property, located on Drouillard Road near Milloy Street.

As a result, 39-year-old Lindsay Menard of Windsor is charged with unlawfully possessing cannabis for the purpose of sale. The property's landlord, 46-year-old Robert Luppino of Windsor, is charged with permitting a premise of which he or she is a landlord to be used in relation to the sale or distribution of cannabis.

These charges have not been proven in court. Both of the accused will appear in court at a later date.

A quantity of cannabis and related cannabis products, electronics and Canadian currency were seized during the raid.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
