University students set to clean up neighbourhoods

After a long summer, University of Windsor students will be out in force this coming week to give the surrounding neighbourhoods a good scrubbing.

Some 200 students, staff, and faculty members will spread out with a pair of work gloves and garbage bags to beautify West Windsor.

Not only will the effort make nearby streets more liveable, but it will also help familiarize new students with the area and meet the neighbours living around the University of Windsor.

They will be identifiable by their UWin Proud t-shirts.

The group will also hand out invitations to a post-clean-up celebration.

Volunteers will meet at 3 p.m. Monday at the David A. Wilson Commons south of the Odette School of Business and will work for about two hours.
