Windsor trucker accused of driving drunk in Caledon

A 41-year-old Windsor man faces charges after the Ontario Provincial Police pulled over a tractor-trailer in the Town of Caledon.

The truck, which was fully-loaded at the time, was initially pulled over because it was on a route that prohibits truck traffic.

Once they spoke to the driver, they discovered he had been drinking. He was arrested and taken to the detachment where he tested over the legal limit.

A charge of operating a motor vehicle over 80 milligrams of alcohol immediately results in a driver's license suspension for 90 days. Police also impounded the truck for seven days.

Probhjot Wahla is expected to appear in a provincial court in Orangeville on impaired driving charges and a count of disobeying a sign.
