Man charged in motorcycle theft

A 45-year-old Windsor man is facing charges in connection with the theft of a motorcycle.

The motorcycle was stolen on September 2 in the area of Elm Avenue and Erie Street. It was found the next day on Giles Boulevard with some damage and modifications. After an investigation by police, a suspect was identified.

On Monday, officers in the Problem-Oriented Policing unit patrolling downtown saw a suspect on Wyandotte Street West and he was arrested without incident.

A 45-year-old Windsor man is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and mischief.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
