Man charged with B&E after resident call

A concerned resident helped police nab a break and enter suspect this week.

On Wednesday around 3 a.m., the resident called the police to report the sound of power tools and a person in dark clothing in the area of California Avenue and Girardot Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene they saw a man trying to gain access to a structure with power tools. When they tried to make an arrest the man ran away but officers eventually caught up to him.

Windsor police charged a 40-year-old man from Windsor with break and enter and possessing break-in tools.

The Windsor Police Service encourages citizens to report suspicious activity.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
