The Greater Essex County District School Board is pausing all community use in schools because of job action by CUPE members.
Custodians, maintenance, clerical and Information technology staff began job action today which includes the withdrawal of certain duties.
Starting October 1, community groups will no longer be able to use school property, until further notice. The Windsor Ward 9 meeting, hosted by councillor Kieran McKenzie, was scheduled for Tuesday at Roseland Public School but has been postponed with no rescheduled date set.
CUPE and the provincial government failed to reach an agreement during bargaining over the weekend.
